The Snapping feature allows users to create boundaries of fields that snap to existing boundaries while drawing. When field snapping is enabled, the drawing tool will snap to the existing boundary when you come close to an existing field.  This helps keep field boundaries from overlapping. To enable/disable go to Drawing Tools | Field Snapping.
