Watch: Planning and Recording Lime Applications for more information on lime recommendations and applications.

The Lime Recommendation (LR) cell is automatically filled in based on the soil test date and crops entered into SnapPlus. Each year will display the status of the LR for that year. There are four values possible. In the year of the soil test, the text is in bold.

1.NA: No LR is available due to lack of a current soil test.

2.NOT MET: Lime applications have not met the LR.

3.MET: The LR has been met or exceeded.

4.Zero means there is a valid soil test but no recommendation, probably because the pH of the soil is close to the target pH for the crops being planned.

More details on lime recommendations can be found in the UW Publication A2809 Nutrient application guidelines for field, vegetable and fruit crops in Wisconsin in Chapter 5 (page 38) of UWEX publication A2809.
